A Poseyville man died Monday night after jumping from a cell tower in southern Wayne County, Ill., police said.The body of Kevin J. Seibert, 32, was discovered by a neighbor shortly before 8 p.m. Monday just east of Barnhill, Ill.Wayne County Coroner Jimmy Taylor said Seibert apparently drove his pickup up next to the fence surrounding the cellphone tower, jumped over the fence and then climbed the tower.Taylor said Seibert died of multiple injuries consistent with jumping or falling from a significant height.Officials with the company that maintains the tower confirmed that Seibert did not work for them and that he had no authorization to be on the property.No autopsy is planned. Taylor has issued a preliminary ruling of suicide.
