Indianapolis Teen Fatally Shot

Man Found Outside Car

A teen was fatally shot on Indianapolis' northeast side early Thursday morning, and police are looking for at least two males possibly involved in the shooting.

Indianapolis Metro police were called to the 5200 block of Butler Terrace, near North Emerson Avenue, just after 2 a.m.

Officers said they found the Clois Goldsmith, 18, lying on pavement behind a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Goldsmith was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead just after 5 a.m.

A witness told police that two males dressed in all black with black hooded sweatshirts on were walking eastbound from the area at about the same time the gunshot was heard.

Police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
