INDIANAPOLIS - Police were investigating after one person was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched at 1 p.m. to North Gray Street on reports of shots fired.
Dispatchers said one victim was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Once at the hospital, he was pronounced dead, IMPD said.
No details about the victim's identity have been released.
Witnesses told police the incident was an attempted robbery. Three people were detained during the investigation, but no one has been arrested, authorities said.
