Officers were called to the area after a 911 caller reported hearing shots fired and someone screaming.
When officers arrived, they found Terrance Williams, 22, had been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neighbors told police that Williams was holding a baby girl at the time. The infant, was dropped, but was taken to Riley Hospital for Children and was not injured.
The other victim, also in his mid 20s, was taken to a nearby hospital.
