INDIANAPOLIS - Police were investigating a fatal shooting on the city's northeast side Monday evening.
Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened near East 38th Street and North Keystone Avenue just after 9:30 p.m.
When police arrived to the scene, they found two men who had been shot inside a car.
Authorities said the male driver had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified him as Troy Grayson, 38.
The passenger, said to be in his 20s, was shot in the arm. He was taken to Eskenazi Health in serious, but stable condition, police said.
Authorities found several shell casings near a McDonald's, but were continuing their investigation near a White Castle.
Police said they believe a second vehicle was involved in the incident, but did not yet have a description.
