INDIANAPOLIS - One driver was killed and another was injured in a crash early Sunday morning in downtown Indianapolis involving a taxi and an SUV.
The Indianapolis Fire Department said the crash happened about 3:40 a.m. at the intersection of Delaware and Washington streets.
The driver of the Taxi West car, whose name wasn't immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the driver of the SUV as Whitney Gettys, 23, of Indianapolis.
She was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital and faces charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death, a police report said.
Indianapolis police are investigating what led to the crash.
