SPEEDWAY, Ind. -- One person was killed and another was hospitalized Wednesday morning after a head-on crash near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The crash happened around 6 a.m., on 16th Street.
Two vehicles crashed head-on in front of the speedway, killing one person.
The victim has been identified as 65-year-old David Jordan.

Police closed 16th Street from the roundabout to Polco Street during the crash investigation.
