ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - One of three campers injured when lightning struck a camp on the city's northwest side was released from the hospital Monday and is home with his family, camp officials said.
The camper, only identified as being from Cabin 12, was injured Saturday when lightning struck a field at the camp in the 9300 block of Moore Road.
Camp counselors immediately started life-saving measures before the three injured campers were taken to area hospitals.
One of the campers was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in critical condition and the other two were described as being in stable condition at Riley Hospital for Children.
Rabbi Mark Covitz said that all of the remaining campers knew that the three campers were sent to the hospital as a result of the incident.
Covitz said programming for the final week of the session would return to normal.
There was no word on the condition of the other two campers.
