PANAMA CITY, Fla. - One of the two Indiana girls injured in a Florida parasailing accident was released from the hospital Wednesday.
Alexis Fairchild, 17, was discharged from Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. and will continue her rehabilitation at an Indianapolis hospital, a Fort Wayne ABC affiliate reported.
Fairchild suffered a broken back and head trauma after she and her friend, Sidney Good, also 17, were involved in a parasailing accident July 1.
The girls slammed into the side of a condominium and hit a power line before striking a parked car on the ground.
Good remains at the hospital with a promising recovery. Doctors hope she will be able to walk later this week.
