1 seriously injured when car bursts into flames
Accident remains under investigation

INDIANAPOLIS - One person was seriously injured after his car caught on fire after a crash on Interstate 465 on Monday evening, officials said.
Crews with the Indianapolis Fire Department were called the scene on westbound I-465 between the Allisonville Road and Keystone Avenue exits just after 9 p.m.
Witnesses told officers that a Jeep Liberty collided with a Toyota Solara and pushed the Toyota through a guardrail and down an embankment.
Officials said the Jeep then burst into flames and the driver, 66, was briefly trapped. He was able to escape, but officials said he did suffer injures from the fire.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
The 23-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to Wishard in good condition.
The cause of the accident was under investigation by the Indiana State Police.
