CARMEL, Ind. -- A crash at 116th Street and Spring Mill Road in Carmel Tuesday night left three people in critical condition.
The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. The Carmel Fire Department tweeted that a total of six patients were involved. Three were being transported from the scene in critical condition.

A fourth patient was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters.

Firefighters said the car struck a telephone pole sideways.
The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known, but police said alcohol was not thought to be a factor.
