16-year-old girl missing from Carmel

CARMEL, Ind. -- Carmel police are seeking help in locating a 16-year-old girl who went missing Thursday.

Shania A. Readus is a black female with lighter-toned skin, 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighs approximately 215 pounds with black and pink hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen in the area of Carmel High School, located at 520 E. Main Street, wearing black jeans, a black T-shirt under a pink and black button down shirt and black and white tennis shoes.

Readus has been known to travel to Indianapolis to the 38th Street and Capitol Avenue area with unknown adult males and females, according to the Carmel Police Department.

Carmel police is asking if anyone has information on Readus' whereabouts to contact them at 317-571-2511 or call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-8477 (TIPS).
