INDIANAPOLIS - A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after she threatened to kill an Indianapolis Public Schools teacher, police said.
The incident happened Wednesday afternoon at Coleman Alternative Academy, IPS No. 110, at 1740 E. 30th St.
The girl became angry at teacher Chad Whitesell, 33, and told him, "I'll slit your throat," and "I'll sleep you," another term for killing someone, police said.
An assistant principal and school police had to intervene to bring the girl under control, requiring an officer to "forcibly restrain (the student) to gain her compliance," according to the police report.
As school police handcuffed the girl, she said, "When I get out of juvenile, I'm going to come back and kill you, you fake-(expletive) school police," according to the report.
The girl was arrested on preliminary charges of intimidation, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement. She was being held at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center.
