INDIANAPOLIS - Two people were injured Sunday morning when a car struck a van and then plowed into a house on Indianapolis' south side.

The crash happened about 8:50 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Emerson Avenue.

Indianapolis fire officials said a man was driving southbound on Emerson when he struck a van driven by Amy Eversoll, 36.

The car then continued southbound, went off the road and crashed into a house.

When emergency responders arrived, the man was pulled from his car and was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

The man's identity wasn't immediately released.

Eversoll was taken to St. Francis Hospital in stable condition. No one else was injured.

Police are investigating what led to the crash.
