INDIANAPOLIS - Two people escaped from a house fire on the city’s northeast side Friday evening, officials said.
The fire happened in the 2500 block of North Gale Street around 7:30 p.m., crews with the Indianapolis Fire Department said.
Officials said the occupants were 88 and 89 years old, but they did not suffer serious injuries. Both were treated at the scene and released.
The house sustained significant damage, authorities said. Crews estimated the damage to the home was about $70,000.
