VINCENNES, Ind. - Two people were injured when an SUV crashed into a building on the campus of Vincennes University on Monday.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. when the SUV struck a power pole near the corner of Indianapolis Avenue and Chestnut Street.

The vehicle then careened into the side of the Technology Building, plowing through a brick wall and coming to rest under a stairwell, the school said.

The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. A student in a classroom was treated and released from the hospital.

The crash cut power to several building on campus. Classes were canceled until noon.
