2 men arrested after Lafayette police bust meth lab

LAFAYETTE, IND. -  

Two men were arrested on several charges after police busted an active meth lab at a home in Lafayette.

Police were called to a home in the 400 block of South 5 th Street on reports of a disturbance Wednesday. When officers arrived, the overwhelming smell of chemicals was apparently wafting from the residence, police said.

Suspecting illegal activity, police entered the home where they found two men and an active meth lab.

Police said Kevin Douglas, of Lafayette, was arrested on several drug charges including dealing and possessing meth. Bhupinder Singh, of Lafayette, was arrested on charges of visiting a common nuisance.

Douglas and Singh were taken into custody at the Tippecanoe County Jail.

Indiana State Police said the residence was decontaminated and no injuries were reported.
