INDIANAPOLIS -
Two people were injured in a crash during a police pursuit on the city's west side early Friday.
About 3 a.m., dispatchers said two people in a SUV were being pursued by an officer when they hit a tree near Lynhurst Drive and Rockville Road.
The impact of the crash flipped the SUV, trapping the driver and the passenger.
After firefighters worked for nearly 30 minutes to free them, they were rushed to Wishard Memorial and Methodist hospitals.
Police did not immediately release the reason why they were chasing the SUV, or the names of the passengers.
