INDIANAPOLIS -- Two men were shot in the parking lot of Club Venus early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. at the gentlemen's club on the city's West Side.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers on the scene of the shooting, a victim was shot in the hip, leg and arm in the parking lot. Upon hearing the shooting, a security guard from the club went outside and saw the suspected shooter pointing a gun at the victim.

The security guard then opened fire on the suspect, striking him at least once. The suspect then drove away.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition. His identity has not been released.

Soon after the shooting, an adult male was reported to have walked into Eskenazi Health with a single gunshot wound. His description matched that of the suspect. He remains in the hospital in stable condition. He has also not yet been identified.

Club Venus was the scene of another shooting just two months ago. A fight broke out inside the club and IMPD said four or five shots were fired.
