FARMLAND, Ind. - Two 17-year-olds were killed early Sunday morning when the car they were in was struck by a train, and a third teenager was injured.

The Star Press reported that police in Farmland, about 15 miles east of Muncie, were investigating the collision that occurred about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said two of the teenagers were trapped in the car and a third was ejected.

Police were withholding the names of the two teenagers who were killed pending notification of family. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Joshua Ponder, 18, was flown by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, and was listed in fair condition.
