INDIANAPOLIS - Two people were injured in a serious two-vehicle crash that shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near Interstate 865 early Monday, police dispatchers said.
The crash was reported just before 7 a.m. on Indianapolis' northwest side near I-65 mile marker 126.
Dispatchers said a car was headed south on I-65 before it crossed into the northbound lanes hitting a pickup truck head on.
Both unidentified victims were hospitalized, dispatchers said.
The northbound lanes of I-65 were reopened to traffic just before 8:30 a.m.
The crash remained under investigation.
