FISHERS, Ind. - The Fishers Police Department is warning residents after two vehicles were stolen and several others were broken into overnight Monday on the city’s west side.

Police said the suspects gained entry into several vehicles in the Timber Springs, Burberry Place and Sunblest neighborhoods.

A Jeep and Chrysler Pacifica were stolen.

The owner of the Chrysler, Angelica Menossi, said her family realized her SUV was stolen after getting a call.

“We actually received a call at 7 in the morning from a guy that found all the contents from the glove box of our BMW in his yard, and we go, 'Oh no, is the BMW gone?'" Menossi said.

Authorities were able to recover the Jeep but continue to search for the Chrysler.

“It was quite alarming and it was shocking at first, but at least it wasn’t our home. At least it wasn’t our children in danger,” said Menossi.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 if they observe suspicious activity in their neighborhood.

Anyone with information regarding these thefts is urged to contact police at 317-595-3300.

Fishers police recommend going back to basics to protect yourself -- park in a well-lit area, keep valuables out of sight, always lock car doors and park inside if possible.
