2,300 in Indiana remain without power

About 2,300 businesses and homes in Indiana were still without power Friday after powerful storms that produced 11 tornadoes knocked down power lines early Tuesday.
 
Indiana Michigan Power Co. reported 2,000 of its customers in South Bend remained without power. It said it hopes to have power restored to all customers by 6 p.m. Saturday. It also had 4,300 customers in Michigan still without power, 4,300 in Benton Harbor and 500 in Three Rivers.
 
Northern Indiana Public Service Co. reports 320 of its customers were without power Friday evening. Goshen had the most with 87, followed by Merrillville with 51 and Shelby with 33.
