INDIANAPOLIS - A longtime trooper with Indiana State Police was arrested Friday afternoon on forgery charges.

Rick Reed, 53, is facing six felony counts of forgery, each carrying two to eight years in prison if Reed is found guilty.

The 24-year veteran of ISP is accused of forging the sales price on vehicle titles, resulting in lower sales tax payments.

Reed has been placed on unpaid administrative leave, pending completion of his trial.
