HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A 29-year-old Noblesville man was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a car late Saturday evening.

The accident happened in the 24500 block of Jerkwater Road just after 10 p.m. in Hamilton County.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, a 61-year-old woman had stopped to make a left turn and didn't notice a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction until it hit her.

The motorcyclist, Michael Crooks, 29, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was ejected from his bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, but deputies do not believe the motorcycle had a working headlamp at the time of the collision.
