3 arrested, 2 kids in protective custody after meth lab bust

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Three people were arrested early Saturday and two children were taken into protective custody after a meth lab bust in Lafayette, police said.

Just before 2 a.m., police got a tip about some suspicious activity at a home in the 3000 block of Comanche Drive.  When police arrived, they found several meth labs and one of them was in use.

A woman living in the home, Desiree Davis, 27, was charged with manufacturing meth and unlawful possession of a syringe.  Buddy Sanders III, 30, of Lafayette, was charged with possession of meth, and Jeremy Richardson, 28, of West Lafayette, faced several charges including unlawful possession.

All three suspects were taken into custody at the Tippecanoe County Jail.

The two children in the home during the investigation were released to the Department of Child Services.
