INDIANAPOLIS - Five people, including a pregnant woman, were sent to the hospital with injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on the city's southwest side Tuesday evening.
Investigators think a 2010 Mitsubishi truck crossed the center line in the 4500 block of Mann Road when the driver -- Steven Earhart, 47, of Indianapolis -- had some kind of medical episode.
Police said it appeared the Mitsubishi struck a Ford 500, driven by Delana Cody, 33, of Indianapolis. The Ford then struck a Chrysler Pacifica driven by Shannon Vaughn, 25, of Indianapolis.
Cody was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said. Vaughn, who is pregnant, was taken to IU Methodist in serious condition.
Two passengers from the Chrysler Pacifica were taken to Methodist in good condition, and Earhart went to Wishard with non-life-threatening injuries.
