MUNCIE, Ind. - An 80-year-old man died in a house fire on Muncie’s west side Thursday afternoon.
The fire was reported at a home in the 200 block of North Forest Drive at 2 p.m., officials with the Muncie Fire Department said.
The Delaware County Coroner later identified the victim as Tom Wagley.
After Wagley was pulled from the home, it was discovered that he had been shot three times. The coroner said the wounds appeared to be self-inflicted, but a full autopsy would be needed.
The coroner said Wagley was ill with cancer.
