WESTFIELD, Ind. - A Westfield man died Friday afternoon after he became pinned underneath a falling tree.
The man, 81, was attempting to cut down a damaged tree at a home near 161st Street and Oak Road, officials with the Westfield Fire Department said.
Authorities said the remaining portion of the tree fell on top of him. He was carrying a chainsaw, but it was not on at the time.
The man’s identity has not yet been released.
