GARY, Ind. -- A Gary toddler abducted at gunpoint was found safely Tuesday night.
Police put out an urgent alert Tuesday for 15-month-old Timothy Jackson Jr., who was taken from his foster home by two males around 12:30 a.m. The suspects were armed with sawed-off shotguns and had their faces covered.
An Amber Alert was formally issued for Timothy around 8 p.m. Tuesday. Police announced Timothy had been found just before 10 p.m.
Police initially said Timothy was thought to be in the company of his mother, 15-year-old Rosalinda Tecaxco, and father, 17-year-old Timothy Jackson. They did not immediately say whether he was found with them.
