Along with cold temperatures comes frozen pipes
Cold temps could freeze pipes

The frigid temperatures expected in central Indiana this week could freeze the pipes in your home, potentially costing thousands of dollars in damage.
Plumbing experts say the extra expense of turning up the heat this week will ultimately be cheaper than what you will have to pay for pipe repairs.
Experts recommend buying a cheap thermostat and putting it in the room where you are having trouble heating, and opening up cabinet doors where piping is located to let warm air in to decrease the likelihood of it freezing.Another tip experts recommend is shutting your water off if you have plans to be out of town.
Typically, piping problems increase when temperatures go back up above the freezing mark and the water starts melting, causing lines that were frozen to split open.
