INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis members of Amazon.com's Prime service will be able to get food from Fresh Thyme, a regional farmer's market, due to a partnership between the two companies.

Amazon Prime Now is a service where you can get items shipped to your door in an hour or two.

One-hour delivery costs 7.99, while two-hour delivery is free.

The new partnership means you can get fresh food from Fresh Thyme to your door, instead of from the Amazon warehouse.

“Amazon Prime Now is a perfect fit for Fresh Thyme to be able to extend this convenience to those who may not be able to shop with us as often as they’d like,” Fresh Thyme CEO, Chris Sherrell, said in a release. “At the core of both our brands is an emphasis on quality, convenience and value, and this partnership is a huge step in better serving our communities.”

Instacart is a similar delivery service, where you can get groceries from Whole Foods Market to your door, but there's a delivery charge associated with it.

However, the minimum cost required to make a delivery to your door is less with Instacart ($10 vs. $20), so depending on what you are getting, you could come out ahead.

The Amazon-Fresh Thyme partnership is a first-of-its-kind service for the online retailer. It's being rolled out in Indianapolis as a test market.
