ANDERSON, Ind. - An Anderson boy backed over by an SUV survived with only minor injuries, police said.
The accident happened just after 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 4300 block of Painted Turtle Court, the Herald Bulletin reported.
The 7-year-old had been talking to a passenger in the stopped SUV when he went behind the vehicle to walk back around and fell, police said.
The driver, Benjamin Grin, 37, told police he didn't know the boy had come back around the SUV and began to pull away.
The SUV rolled over the boy's right arm and leg.
The boy was taken to Saint John's Medical Center. Police said he suffered bruises and scrapes but no broken bones.
