ANDERSON, Ind. - A central Indiana teenager faces up to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually attacking a 93-year-old woman .
The Herald-Bulletin reports the youth pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of burglary, criminal deviate conduct, criminal confinement and strangulation moments before attorneys presented opening statements in his trial in Madison Circuit Court.
The July 16 attack occurred inside the woman's Anderson home. The teenager was arrested five weeks later.
The teen was sent to a Logansport State Hospital for three months after two mental health experts found he was borderline mentally disabled. He was found competent to stand trial in December.
