WASHINGTON -- Anderson University President John Pistole met with President Donald Trump Tuesday to talk about the open position of FBI Director.
The position has been vacant since President Trump fired Jim Comey earlier this month.
Trump also met about the FBI position with Chris Wray, a former assistant attorney general at the Justice Department.
Before his foreign trip, Trump met with former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating and acting FBI director Andrew McCabe. Former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman also met with the president but removed his name from consideration.

Pistole was a former deputy director of the FBI and served 26 years with the agency.
He also served as head of the TSA from 2010 - 2014.
Anderson, Indiana is Pistole's hometown.
He received his bachelor's degree from Anderson University in 1978.
