Area gas prices drop to $2.78 a gallon on Indianapolis' east side
Hoosiers see lower prices in mid-December

INDIANAPOLIS -
Gas prices dipped to $2.78 a gallon at some stations on Indy's east side Wednesday.
The Speedway near 10 th Street and German Church Road was one of the stations selling gas for the lowest price many Hoosiers had seen in months.
Central Indiana prices had held steady at well above $3 a gallon before dropping below the $2.99 mark in mid-December.
