INDIANAPOLIS - Several Indianapolis venues are celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day with free admission for Hoosiers.
White River State Park is allowing free admission to the NCAA Hall of Champions, the Indiana State Museum and the Eiteljorg Museum with a donation of a canned food item for Gleaners Food Bank.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and Conner Prairie will offer free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Madame Walker Theatre Center and the Indianapolis Urban League is honoring MLK day by offering a free breakfast at the Urban League at 9:30 a.m. After breakfast, a Freedom Walk to the Madame Walker Theatre will begin at 10:30 a.m. where the inauguration ceremony of President Barack Obama will be streamed live inside the historic theatre at 11 a.m.
