INDIANAPOLIS - Police made an arrest in connection to the fatal shooting in the Coke Lot during the Indianapolis 500 weekend.
Avory Johnson, 19, was arrested Monday in Texas. He is formally charged with murder after 25-year-old Max Levine was killed May 24, officials with the Speedway Police Department said.
Police initially questioned Johnson after the shooting, but released him after admittedly not having the proper evidence to make an arrest.
Detectives met with prosecutors on Aug. 20 and determined there was probable cause to formally charge Johnson and an arrest warrant was issued.
