MONROE COUNTY, Ind. -- An arrest has been made in connection with a September homicide in Monroe County.

Donald Gentry, 66, was killed at his homeon Old State Road 37 on Bloomington's south side. Gentry's death was ruled a homicide by blunt force trauma to the head.

Investigators from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and Bloomington Police arrested John Henry Griffin, 63, Thursday. They say he was identified as a suspect two weeks ago.

Griffin is homeless but maintains temporary housing in the Bloomington area.

Sheriff Brad Swain says the motive for Donald Gentry's killing was likely drugs.  Swain says Gentry had various prescription drugs in his home and an investigation determined he was dealing illegally.
