2 people in custody after police chase, crash linked to robbery at Fifth Third Bank

INDIANAPOLIS - At least two people were taken into custody Monday afternoon following a police chase linked to a robbery at a north-side Indianapolis Fifth Third Bank, Indianapolis Metro Police Department officers said.

The incident was reported at the bank about 4 p.m. near 86th Street and North College Avenue.

Following the robbery report, IMPD said the two suspects were speeding in a car headed south on College Ave. One of the suspects got out and ran into the woods, prompting a manhunt by heavily-armed FBI agents.

Few details were released about the people taken into custody, but dispatchers reported the chase ended in a crash near 79th Street and North College Avenue.
