BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- One man was wounded in an officer-involved shooting in Brownsburg Monday evening.

Brownsburg Police Department officers were called to the Ashwood subdivision around 9:30 p.m. for a reported personal robbery.

When police arrived, they learned the suspects left in a white Cadillac Escalade. The Cadillac was stopped at the intersection of Main and O'Dell streets.

There were two men and a woman in the vehicle.

Authorities say 28-year-old Julio Serrano, of Illinois, was shot by police after he waved a gun at officers. Serrano was taken to Eskenazi Hospital for a single gunshot wound to the torso.

No officers were injured.

Police have the other man in custody, Marek Mikolajczyc, 31, and later located Brittani Griebahn, who they were seeking for questioning. Both are considered witnesses to the shooting and have not been charged.

Officers recovered a handgun from the scene.
