Authorities offer $5,000 reward

INDIANAPOLIS - Federal and local authorities are investigating a burglary after 45 firearms were stolen from a gun shop on Indianapolis' east side Sunday.

Detectives said then guns were taken from Pops Guns at 30 South Post Road.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the theft.

IMPD Interim Chief Rick Hite said detectives are asking for the public's help with the burglary.

“Law enforcement is seeking assistance from the public in locating these weapons and identifying those responsible," Hite said.

 A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspects in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the ATF crime gun hotline 1-800-ATF-GUNS or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
