MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State students are seeking more transparency from school officials after the President's sudden resignation earlier this week.

Late Friday afternoon, students packed into the Board of Trustees meeting to get answers.

Student Carli Hendershot rallied about a dozen students to the Board of Trustees meeting Friday. She wanted to share her concern over what she calls a lack of transparency associated with the sudden resignation of President Paul Ferguson earlier this week.

He was on the job less than two years.

Specific details about the timing and what led to the resignation are big concerns to some students.

"The trust that we have within the Board has disappeared pretty much. They have a lot of power within their Board and they're using it without really giving us any information as to their actions." Hendershot said.

"It's a personnel decision and as with other personnel decisions we'd like to maintain the privacy and this was again something Dr. Ferguson agreed to," Ball State Board of Trustees Chairman Rick Hall said.

Hall said there is no scandal associated with Ferguson's resignation.

Dr. Terry King is the acting president.
