BEECH GROVE, Ind. - A 15-year-old Beech Grove student has been arrested after a violent outburst at school.
Officers were called to the high school Wednesday afternoon when a student became disruptive, according to a police report.
The boy threw paper in a classroom before turning over a custodian's cart in a hallway and throwing chairs in the cafeteria, police said.
When he was approached by a teacher and officers, the boy threw a chair at the teacher, causing his hand to bleed, according to the report.
Police said they ordered the boy to stop, but when he didn't respond, they took him to the ground and restrained him.
The boy was arrested on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct and battery with injury.
