Bloomington man killed in 3-car wreck

INDIANAPOLIS - A Bloomington man was killed after being involved in a three-vehicle accident Friday morning.

Bloomington police said Cecil Cain, 67, was driving a 2003 Buick LeSabre west pm State Road 45 when he pulled in front of a Ford F250 at the intersection with N. Kinser Pike. The truck, driven by Billy Shane Reynolds, 41, of Mount Zion, Ga., was pulling a trailer and struck Cain's vehicle on the passenger side of his vehicle.

The impact of the collision pushed both vehicles into a Ford Explorer that was stopped at the intersection. That vehicle was driven by Nicole Laughlin, 29, of Bloomington.

Cain was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is preliminarily believed to be blunt force trauma.

No other injuries were reported from the accident.
