BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- After sell-out crowds in Indianapolis, the Return of the Mac Festival is coming to Bloomington.

The incredibly popular mac and cheese festival event will make its first stop in 2017 at the Monroe County Convention Center on Sunday, April 2. It is the first of what organizers of the festival say will be a "select Midwest market" tour after the same group had such success in Indianapolis.

Those in attendance will get to sample mac and cheese inspired dishes from 20 restaurants in Bloomington and southern Indiana.

Dishes will be judged by local foodies to determine who wins the Golden Noodle.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Bloomington Animal Care & Control.
