HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. - One person is dead after a dump truck blew a tire Tuesday afternoon on a Hendricks County highway, police said.
The Danville Police Department said at roughly 3 p.m. Tuesday, a driver of a dump truck was headed down U.S. Highway 36 near County Road 200 East. The man said his truck blew a tire and he lost control of his vehicle. The truck swerved into the path of another vehicle that was crossing U.S. 36.
Police said the driver of that car, a 72-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet released his name, as they may still be attempting to inform family members.
