INDIANAPOLIS - A man whose body was found in a burned-out truck on Indianapolis' east side had been shot to death, the coroner ruled.
Officers were called to the 3700 block of North Lasalle Street just before 11 p.m. Monday on a report of a vehicle on fire.
When the flames were extinguished, a body was found inside the truck, police said.
The man was later identified as James Shaw, 23.
The Marion County Coroner's Office ruled the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death as homicide.
