WHITESTOWN, Ind. -- A Whitestown couple and their family will be going from enjoying some ice cream each night to serving it up for the community.

Donny and Kas Miller have started work on the new "Fundae's Ice Cream" store, which will open next year.

The couple says they got the idea for the shop while enjoying some ice cream earlier this year.

"Life is hectic and busy and we think it’s important to enjoy the small things in life, like ice cream," said Kas Miller.

Fundae’s Ice Cream will be the family’s first business.

Right now Kas works in insurance, and Donny is a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army.

They hope the new shop will be a way for them to get involved in the community, hosting fundraisers for local organizations and getting a mobile cart to bring to events.

Fundae's Ice Cream will serve 32 flavors of "super-premium" ice cream from a Madison, Wisconsin supplier.

The store is set to open in March of 2018 along Whitestown Parkway.
