Boy found unresponsive in snow dies at hospital

Parents said boy had pre-existing condition

INDIANAPOLIS - A seventh-grade boy died at the hospital Monday morning after emergency crews found him lying unresponsive in the snow.

Metro police spokesman Lt. Chris Bailey said an Indianapolis fire crew was en route to another call when they spotted the boy face down in the snow, in the 5000 block of Turtle Creek Court near US 31 and Thompson Road.

Bailey said the firefighters performed CPR on the boy and took him to St. Francis hospital, where he later died.

The boy's parents confirmed that he had a pre-existing medical condition, Bailey said.
